I must admit, I've been more affected by his death than I ever thought I would be. I guess it's because a large part of my childhood is just gone. I saw on Amazon that the most downloaded MP3 of late is "Man in the Mirror," which I find very telling. Maybe something good will come out of this. Maybe the press will stop hounding people--but only if the public back off a little. What a price to pay for talent.

On a much lighter note, I LOVED "The Proposal." LOVED!

OVER it! I was watching CNN while on the treadmill the other day and the literally could not go more than 5 minutes without reporting some kind of "breaking story" about MJ. Well let ME break something to YOU, CNN: the guy's dead so I don't think he's doing much "breaking" anymore. And this from our "reputable news source."

I am so over hearing about his death and what will happen to the family, his money, whatever. I am so stunned that it's been almost 2 weeks and it's still the top news story EVERYDAY. ARen't there more important things going on in the world than the death of MJ?

He was a great musician, but enough is enough already. Give the man some peace!

I'm over the circus of his death, for sure, but there is a small part of me that feels bad that he wasn't able to make his comeback. He was such an influential artist and I feel like that really gets lost in all the drama that surrounds the guy. I'm not saying he was a saint (also not saying he was or was not a pervert) but I do believe that he deserves a bit of respect. At least for the sake of his kids.

I'm so over all the MJ stuff. He had no peace while living and now none while dead. It has turned into a frenzied circus. Give the guy a break. Mostly, I just feel bad for his kids. These people mobbing the streets didn't even know him personally. I think it is a sad testament to our culture that we'd become so obsessed over a celebrity.
