Blast from the past: Italy 2002

In April 2002 there was a labor strike in Florence - and there was a huge protest march to support the strike. I fortunately had photography that day and our teacher set us out to get as many shots of the strike as we could. I took 2-3 rolls of film in the hour and a half that we were out. It was more like a celebration than a protest, and it was one of the best experiences. These guys let me take their photo, on the condition that I gave them both hugs afterwards. It was worth it - they are my favorite.

So...you got to go to Italy for a photography class. Your "school" was to take pictures of a beautiful foriegn country? Am I getting this straight?

Umm, I did not make the most of my BA, clearly.
